The Entrepreneur

The world is awash with entreprenuers and we have noticed that 9 to 5 kind of jobs is not the route to financial freedom. You can do a 9 to 5 kind of job, retire honouably but i promise you your financial base is nothing compared to the that of an entrepreneur who ventured to start something something for themselves.

Entrepreneurship is a systematic approach used to identify, bring to life and nourish to fruition of an ideal or oppournity. Entrepreneurs perceive potentials and build on them by directing his or her resources to achieve pre-determined goals. The human resource is of importance because it is in born in all. It manifest as talents and deep seated aspirations. The material resource is secondary.

The featuers of Entrepreneurs are numerous but lefts nose dive into it. Entrepreneurs have a high level of business consciousness. They can discern between assets and liabilities. They can see business potentials when they get close to one. Their eyes and mind can see potentials even when clothed in failures. In addition, they are ready ti indulge in moderate calculated risks because they do a through base line study of their potential business ideal. These base line studies give them a clear picture if the target market, the dos and don’ts the requirements and the legal impediments. They make sound business judgement before they dive into any business venture.

Entrepreneurs are dynamic and hard working. They do not dive into business because it is in vogue or it has made their next door friend millionaires. They nourish their idea with creative innovations thus making it unique. They have superb abilities in allocating time, resources and task.

Remember, Entrepreneurs do not dive into business ventures. Like I said above, the world is awash with entrepreneurs. Subsequently, study yourself before you throw in yor material into any venture if not you would close shop few months after.

In conclusion, engage professional to do the base line studies and visit a solicitor and you would know the legal angel of your proposed business venture.

How The Copywriter Helps The Entrepreneur

images

One of my favourite assignments as a copywriter is to help entrepreneurs create the text to promote their new business, product or service. In my five years as a professional copywriter, I’ve helped clients as diverse as electricians, sales trainers, marketing companies, gourmet food shops, property developers, digital agencies, IT consultants and driving instructors to express what they offer in writing – usually at the early stage of building or planning the enterprise. The power of copywriting in that situation simply cannot be overestimated. There really is something almost magical about putting words on the page. It makes ideas real, generates commitment and focuses energy. Just by committing thoughts to paper, we can shape our futures. It’s easy to see how this benefits the entrepreneur as they plan or develop a business. Although most entrepreneurs generally feel positive and confident about their ideas, they sometimes find it hard to do them full justice on the page. Working from a different perspective – the outsider’s perspective – the copywriter can make sure that their client’s marketing pitches the offering to the right audience, with the right tone and the right emphasis.Sometimes, the appropriate ‘level’ for the message may be far ‘above’ the one expected or imagined by the entrepreneur. Sometimes, when they see what I’ve written, my clients respond ‘I could never have written that,’ or ‘I don’t recognise myself’. This type of feedback confirms that the entrepreneur may simply be too close to his or her product or business (whether emotionally or intellectually) to communicate its selling points effectively. If the business is a one-person startup enterprise, it’s easy to see why. Talking an idea through with a good copywriter (one who asks the client lots of questions) is a great way to road-test a new idea. ‘If we translated this concept into marketing messages,’ the entrepreneur is asking, ‘Would it fly? Would the proposition be consistent, compelling and capable of converting interest into sales?’ Here, the discipline of copywriting can act as a useful reality check. The dark side of confidence is over-confidence, and entrepreneurs are prone to many delusions and self-deceptions. But the copywriter cannot spin straw into gold; to make convincing copy, they can’t work with unclear, inconsistent or self-contradictory ideas. As part of the briefing process, the copywriter can help the entrepreneur to iron out all these tangles in their thinking – provided the copywriter is prepared to put some tough questions to the person who pays their bill.

Qiqqa Entrepreneur Wins 5k

James Jardine from the University of Cambridge in the UK won third prize in the post-graduate category of the Santander University Entrepreneurship Awards.

He scooped 5,000 for his company Qiqqa.com a company that provides free software which helps students and researchers manage information.

The awards aim to support and encourage university students to pursue their business ideas and are open to students from all 58 universities within the Santander programme.

To mark the fifth anniversary of Santander Universities in the UK, Santander chief executive, Ana Botn, announced an additional 1.5m of funding to UK universities, taking its total investment to 7 million during 2012, as well as 100 new mobility grants of 2,500 available to UK students to study abroad.

She also extended the banks support for small businesses with the launch of a new programme to place graduates from the countrys top universities on internships with SMEs across the UK.

The programme to encourage entrepreneurialism amongst graduates is a collaboration between Santander and its university partners and aims to promote the benefits of working for a SME to third-year or recently graduated students, while providing smaller businesses with an injection of talent not always easy to obtain by companies with limited administration resources.

Santander will work with its partner universities to find students and companies who will benefit most from the scheme and will help with placement and administration, including project management, as well as part-funding a basic salary for the students.

Ana Botn said: Youth unemployment and particularly graduate unemployment is one of the most pressing issues for the UK economy. We hope our new programme offering 500 student internships to SMEs can help provide our talented graduate community with the opportunity to gain vital experience in the work place, whilst opening their eyes to the benefits of working for smaller companies.

SMEs have not typically attempted to compete with the graduate recruitment schemes of the big FTSE players and we hope that this initiative will give a wider range of companies the benefit of fresh, young talent.

As the engines of progress and invention, universities have an important role to play in incubating the enterprises of tomorrow. Santander is proud to be supporting and recognising the entrepreneurial skills demonstrated by students through our Entrepreneurship Awards, as well as announcing an additional 1.5 million of funding to support British universities, taking our total investment to 7 million in the UK and 120 million globally, this year.

Become a Successful Entrepreneur in Your Own Home Wellness Business

images9

The possibility of thriving in a business enterprise seems like a distant dream to many people. This happens because most people are not knowledgeable about entrepreneur success and business. A home wellness business could be the answer.

Most men and women have been taught to be satisfied with working for someone else, which is quite different from being a business owner. Regardless, with simple change in your thinking, the transition from being an employee to entrepreneur can be freeing and even fun. To begin, you have to learn what it takes to be a healthy, happy entrepreneur.

4 Qualities of a Healthy, Happy Entrepreneur

1. Creative and Inventive: You probably haven’t thought of having your own business as a creative opportunity, but it is just that. Enterprising men and women enjoy discovering new opportunities and achieving awesome results.

2. Prosperity Thinking: Having a positive focus and realizing that miracles can happen are qualities of enterprising people that raise them to unimaginable levels of success. Knowing you are on the road to success provides impetus that affects your work ethic and all the people around you.

3. Appreciate Others: Entrepreneurs understand that they succeed because of the people around them, from coming together and helping each other. The joy that comes from interacting, sharing, and assisting others is among life’s greatest gifts.

4. Taking Action: Persistent action is one of the most important keys for succeeding in any enterprise. One key here is to act now. While most people wait for the perfect time to start, effective entrepreneurs recognize that the time is now.

And if you enjoy what you are doing, it’s fun to do what it takes to make it a success. Enterprising people enjoy being members of a dynamic team that’s determined to reach higher reaches of potential and accomplishment.

The idea of working together to achieve a common goal is a time-tested key to success in business and in life. Napoleon Hill taught about the power of the mastermind that’s activated when individuals come together to reach their goals. This approach is as relevant now as it ever was.

With the development of the internet and social media, growing numbers of people are recognizing the importance of cooperation. When you put together all four of these entrepreneur traits, magic happens. They form a sturdy foundation upon which to build your goal of having your own home wellness business.

Paul Zane Pilzner, who was the economist to two presidents, calls the combination of direct selling and the wellness industry the perfect storm of opportunity for our economy. And this rapidly growing industry is effective in any economy. This is also an industry where you can create a home business on your own schedule, with tremendous wealth potential.

how To Become An Entrepreneur— Not A Salesman

images18

Are You An Entrepreneur Or A Salesman?

What I mean by this, everyday, I open my PC and see my screen filled with nonsensical garbage, to put it politely…These wannabies coming online are only thinking of themselves. A true lack of discipline or just not caring about the customer.

True Entrepreneurs provide the customers with satisfaction in meeting their need in a niche. But today it seems like everyone coming online have only one thing in mind—“Get Rich Quick” with no regard to the customers who are the bloodline of their business.

Here’s an example of a true Entrepreneur— Donald Trump see’s A prosperous venture and he begins his quest by promoting his idea to potential clients who will not only become a partner but will also fund this project. This Business is called leveraging and is very effective if utilized properly— In the end— everyone is happy and satisfied…The customer gets what they want and the business partners make HUGE earning from their funding strategies and Donald Trump becomes another billionaire.

An Entrepreneur sees a need that needs to be met and he meets it. There reward is a satisfied customer and a new friend. Business is established by your social ability to sell yourself not a niche. Sell yourself and your customers will take care of you forever.

Who would you rather do business with, someone who is always trying to stick a product in your face or someone who is giving you good content? I would venture to say the later.

Give your subscriber a free offer in the niche you are promoting and they will see you are trying to meet their need and sometimes they will let you know what they are in the market for. Once you gain their confidence and trust they will buy anything you promote because they trust you. That’s the difference between an Entrepreneur and a salesmen.

Remember, Marketing is a Business not a Casino…There’s no jackpots— just you!

Why is Affiliate Marketing Popular with Home Based Business Entrepreneurs

images14

The great strides made in the development of the Internet in the recent past has enabled information to be transmitted thousands of miles away with such ease and clarity that time and space are hardly of any consequence to the Internet Marketer today.

Marketing Programs have literally taken over the Internet and riding high, is Affiliate Marketing.

According to the Computer Industry Almanac “The world-wide Internet population for 2004 was 934 million and the projection for 2006 is 1.21 billion.”

Sean Michael Kerner in an article in Click Z News quoting a spokesman for eBay states “According to eBay their largest affiliate earned over $1.3 million dollars in January commission, the largest amount yet in their affiliate program’s history. Their top 25 affiliates averaged over $100,000 per month each and the top 100 affiliates earn almost $25,000 each per month.”

With this sort of statistics around, is it any surprise that thousands of entrepreneurs especially those Home Based Business entrepreneurs with very small marketing budgets are jumping on to the Affiliate Marketing band-wagon!

Given below are some of the Popular reasons for this desire and urge to do Affiliate Marketing:

1. Cost Factor: Most Entrepreneurs refrain from starting a brick and mortar business or for that matter a Home Based Business (non internet) because of the investment required. In Affiliate Marketing the set-up cost is negligible with most programs being free to join and the merchant even providing you with the tools, tips and websites.

2. Pick and Choose Products: With dozens of Affiliate Program providers and thousands of merchants having their own affiliate programs, there are several thousands of products to choose from. You name it they have it! In fact there are even Fortune 500 companies to choose from. The idea is to pick and choose your niche products and promote them.

3. No need for an Inventory. The hassle of purchasing, stocking of items and storing of finished items (in a production unit) and dispatching them are not there. There is no need to maintain an inventory. It is all handled by the merchant.

4. No need for Employees. In any business the wages of the employees is one of the major expenditures to contend with. Here the problem does not arise since the marketer himself will operate his home business and probably get the assistance of a family member to help him.

5. Necessity for Customer Service does not arise. Customer service plays a major role in the success or failure of a business. The advantage here is that there is no direct dealing with the customers. The website will automatically direct the customers to the merchants.

6. Two Tier Affiliate Marketing: An attractive feature of certain affiliate programs is that they have a Two tier system, whereby affiliates can sign up as sub-affiliates below them. When the sub-affiliate earns a commission, the affiliate above him too earns a commission.

Blog Entrepreneur Blogging Is the Perfect Internet Business

images

If someone were to tell you that you could create a global business, completely for free, with nothing more than the tools you already have, and the investment of your time, you’d question their sanity.

Nevertheless, it’s true. If blogging appeals to you, you can create a viable Internet business within a few months: for free.

Blogging is a new development in online businesses. Essentially, it’s instant publishing. Because entrepreneurial blogging is so new, you have a great opportunity to build your business before others copy what you’re doing, so get started now, and start building your own online empire.

Let’s look at five business models for your new Internet blogging business. These five models can be combined if you wish there are no rules in blogging. You can change the business model of a blog at any time, to a model which generates more income.

Each of these models has the potential to earn you a six-figure income. They are:

Affiliate blog(s)

Web publisher blog(s)

Sales blog(s)

Service blog(s)

Blog network(s)

Let’s look at these models one by one.

Affiliate blog(s)

Many businesses develop affiliate programs, because they can recruit a sales force of thousands of people, with little expense. The appeal of affiliate programs for affiliate marketers is that you don’t need a product or service you can start selling others’ products, on commission.

If you intend creating an affiliate blog, select the products that you’ll be selling before you create the blog. This is because you want to be sure that there is a wide range of products that you can promote. There’s nothing worse than developing a blog, and finding out that the well is dry: you’ve picked a niche where products rarely change, and in which the products are so standardized that there’s nothing new to write or podcast about.

Web publisher blog(s)

In this model, your blog is the online equivalent of a magazine. Just as a magazine has features and advertising, so does your blog. In this business model, your content is vital, because you’re counting on your content to attract advertisers.

If you choose to develop a Web publisher blog, you’ve got great models the thousands of magazines which are published each year. Check out a couple of your favorite magazines. Usually a monthly magazine will have a theme for each monthly issue, with two or more stories devoted to this theme. The magazine publishes its editorial calendar a year in advance, so that advertisers can line up their advertising for a specific issue.

Sales blog(s)

In the sales model, you devote a blog to a single product, or range of products. When offline companies start blogs, their blogs are sales blogs they’re using their blogs to sell their products. If you have products that you want to sell, a sales blog is an excellent business model. You could sell a product that you’ve created an ebook, a DVD, or art work or products that you buy from others, and resell.

Are You Being A Resourceful Manager and Entrepreneur

images

Information is much easier to gain access to nowadays because of the continual advances in technology that are going on day after day. The expansion and swiftness of the Internet is a central example of how technology has revolutionized over time. The Internet is proving to be the most suitable and resourceful place to find information and expand your business.

So why do so many people still fall short to achieve results?

Anthony Robbins is one individual who provides a ton of valuable knowledge (hence the reason he is very successful). He says that the reason why so many people fail is because of the excuses they create. He calls them limited resources. These limited resources (excuses) owned by the majority of people consist of:
Not enough money
Not enough time
Lack of personnel
Not the right technology
Not knowing how to plan or inadequate planning
Lack of quality leadership

The mass majority of business owners blame their failures on a lack of resources. But let’s look at some of the most successful entrepreneurs and leaders:
Bill Gates: Bought MS-DOS for $50k and sold it to IBM for over $50m
Richard Branson: Billionaire entrepreneur. Started a student magazine and selling music he liked in his garage – creator of Virgin)
Steve Jobs: Co-founder of Apple
Oprah Winfrey: Unfavourable circumstances during early childhood – Now a role model and inspiration to countless people especially African Americans simultaneously hosting her own talk show)
Lance Armstrong: Won the Tour de France 7 years in a row after beating testicular cancer
Mark Zuckerberg: Co-founder of Facebook. Originally designed as a network so only college students could interact, share photos and videos. Now it is a worldwide phenomenon

They used their characteristics, positive attitudes, past experiences, took action and have now created much more resources. There is an abundance in available resources waiting for us all to make use of. Successful entrepreneurs and leaders do not believe in limited resources.

It is no one else’s fault if you are letting your emotions, your mindset, and your stance prevent you from taking action. It’s your responsibility to be successful. Your life has an incredible calling. It’s time for you to wake up and capture the opportunity. Rather than worrying or complaining about information overload, how about think about how lucky you are to have all this information and knowledge right in front of you? The majority of people in the planet have no chance of achieving what you can because they have no Internet access!

Being an entrepreneur is the VEHICLE for which you create financial freedom and to “drive” anywhere you please to do anything you want. You either face the challenges or run away back to the drone known as the rat race.

You are the leader you’ve been looking for.

All Top Entrepreneurs Have It Passion

images9

Looking at the top entrepreneurs in any field will show one common quality to which they can attribute their successes. In most every case their business success is a direct by-product for the passion they possess. No where is this more true than with internet entrepreneurs being that in most instances their passion is their chief major resource. For many working online their financial resources are limited therefore they must call upon other resources to compensate as a result. So why does being passionate play such an essential role in the financial ‘fates’ of successful entrepreneurs?

Here is a look at 3 huge benefit this one particular quality offers anybody working online in terms of their ability to achieve business success!

Excitement Initiates Action

For many taking the first step is the most difficult part of carrying out any plan. The excitement produced by being passionate helps to push people to take immediate action. As many know the first step is usually the hardest one to take but successful entrepreneurs use their enthusiasm to overcome this hurdle.

Enthusiasm Drives You On

The energy supplied by an enthusiastic mood helps to propel internet entrepreneurs further into any new project or business venture thus creating momentum. As progress is seen moods are driven higher and so is the level of motivation as well. This is a good position to be in because after seeing progress you also know the concept or ideas you are pursuing actually work.

Resilience Drives You Even Further

Now it is unrealistic to assume there will not be glitches or set backs to contend with but when they do arise your passion helps to minimize any disappointment or discouragement. The tendency is to continue moving forward and the attitude is you will not be denied and this is what is needed to achieve business success. The willingness to do what it takes to get the job done and passion helps to provide and nurture this willingness!

The top entrepreneurs in just about every field all share a common bond insofar as a certain quality they all possess. Being passionate about their business pursuits seems to be an very important factor as to how many successful entrepreneurs reach their goals. In fact no where is this more evident than with the vast majority of internet entrepreneurs. For many working online financial resources are limited therefore what they lack in capital has to be made up for in their efforts and determination. Passion serve as a great resource, as the discussion above explains, for supplying the necessary drive and resilience needed for business success. If this is a ‘resource’ you have in abundance than channeling your efforts online seems to be the way for you to go!
